- 1-2 broccoli crowns
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp lemon pepper
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
- cut broccoli into florets, cutting lengthwise so that each floret can lay flat on its side.
- toss florets in a bowl with olive oil, chili powder, and lemon pepper.
- melt 2 tbsp of butter in a pan.
- arrange florets in the pan with each floret laying flat on its side.
- cut 1 tbsp of butter into 3 pads. place butter pads on top of broccoli in the pan.
- cover and simmer for 1 minute whilst gently sizzling.
- add garlic, continue simmering for 1 minute.
- when broccoli is almost done, add balsamic vinegar, turn off heat, and replace cover. let simmer for 30 seconds before serving.
