1. cut broccoli into florets, cutting lengthwise so that each floret can lay flat on its side.
  2. toss florets in a bowl with olive oil, chili powder, and lemon pepper.
  3. melt 2 tbsp of butter in a pan.
  4. arrange florets in the pan with each floret laying flat on its side.
  5. cut 1 tbsp of butter into 3 pads. place butter pads on top of broccoli in the pan.
  6. cover and simmer for 1 minute whilst gently sizzling.
  7. add garlic, continue simmering for 1 minute.
  8. when broccoli is almost done, add balsamic vinegar, turn off heat, and replace cover. let simmer for 30 seconds before serving.
